Premier EBB

What is the Emergency Broadband Benefit?

The EBB is a federal government program that provides a temporary benefit on internet service for eligible households, decreasing your bill by up to $50 per month, or up to $75 per month off your bill if you reside on qualifying Tribal lands.

The EBB program is a temporary federal government program. EBB recipients will be notified by email, text message, and/or direct mail prior to the program benefit ending. When the EBB program ends, EBB recipients will be subject to the standard monthly rate for the plan and equipment in effect at that time, and subject to Premier’s general terms and conditions.

EBB recipients can receive one benefit (home internet or wireless, but not both) per household, not per person. This benefit is limited to the applicant and cannot be transferred to another person.

The EBB will apply to the Premier Internet service plans below. The EBB will be applied in the internet section of your bill as two separate amounts which combined will provide up to $50 per month off your bill, or up to $75 per month off your bill if you reside on qualifying Tribal lands.

If approved for the EBB, and the benefit reduces the monthly rate you are charged for Premier Internet service and equipment fees to $0, excluding taxes and fees, you must use your service at least once each calendar month to continue receiving your monthly benefit. If you don’t use your service during the calendar month, your monthly benefit may be removed from your bill and you may be charged the standard monthly rate for the plan and equipment in effect at that time.

Existing Premier’s Internet customers will need to select one of the plan options and the plan you select will become your plan going forward after the EBB program ends.

Eligible households on Tribal lands will receive an EBB of up to $75 per month.

Existing Premier Lifeline customers may be eligible to receive the EBB in addition to their Lifeline benefit.

Important EBB disclosures

The Emergency Broadband Benefit program, also known as EBB, is a federal government program that temporarily reduces your monthly Internet service bill. EBB has conditions that require your consent.

1.    The monthly benefit is temporary.

2.    When you call to enroll in the EBB Program, Premier’s customer service representative will explain the details of the EBB eligible plan you select, including the standard monthly rate plus a $4.99 – $7.99 per month fee for your equipment that you should expect to pay once the benefit ends. The standard monthly rate for the plan and any applicable fees for equipment, taxes and fees will also be included on your monthly bill.

3.    If the EBB benefit reduces the monthly rate you are charged for Premier Internet service and equipment fees to $0, excluding taxes and fees, you must use your service at least once each calendar month to continue receiving the monthly benefit. If you don’t use your service during the calendar month, the monthly benefit may be removed from your bill and you may be charged the standard monthly rate for the plan in effect at that time.

4.    You can change your Premier Internet plan or end your Premier Internet service at any time without an early termination fee. You can obtain service supported by the EBB program from any participating provider you choose, and you can transfer your monthly benefit to another provider at any time. There is a maximum of one monthly benefit per household. If you no longer have an EBB eligible plan from Premier or if you elect to move your benefit to another provider, you will no longer be eligible to receive an EBB monthly benefit on your Premier service. Premier reserves the right to remove the EBB monthly benefit at any time.

5.    You will be notified by email and/or direct mail prior to the program benefit ending. That notice will include a Customer Service Summary detailing the plan you are on at that time and the monthly charges you should expect to pay for that plan when the program ends. At that time, you will be free to change your Premier Internet plan or end your Premier Internet service without a termination fee. If you do not elect to change your plan or end your service, you will be charged the standard monthly rate for your current plan (without the program benefit) along with the $5.99- $7.99/mo. fee for your equipment. Regulatory cost recovery fee of up to 0.3% of the cost of service in AR, adjusted for the expiration of any promotions, and subject to Premier’s general terms and conditions.

6.    Premier may transmit certain information about you to the federal government’s National Lifeline Accountability Database to confirm eligibility and enroll you in the EBB program.

What is the National Verifier?

The federal government’s National Verifier, managed by Universal Service Administration Company (USAC), is a centralized system that determines Lifeline and Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program eligibility. There are several ways a household may be eligible. To apply for the EBB program online, go to getemergencybroadband.org or call 833.511.0311.

How do I qualify?

Premier does not determine eligibility and will not know why any participant’s application may have been denied. Please contact the National Verifier at 833.511.0311 for any questions on your application status.

What if I reside on qualifying Tribal lands?

Qualifying customers who live on qualifying Tribal lands may be eligible for a tribal EBB of up to $75 per month. See the Premier Internet Tribal EBB options (up to $75/month off) table below for pricing.

How does Premier apply the EBB monthly benefit on my internet service?

The EBB monthly benefit will be applied in the Internet section of your bill as two separate amounts which combined will provide up to $50 per month off your bill or up to $75 per month off your bill if you reside on qualifying Tribal lands. You will see an EBB monthly benefit for both your monthly service and for your monthly equipment fee within 1-2 billing periods of your request.

What if I switch to another eligible rate plan while receiving the EBB?

If you switch to another eligible rate plan, you will pay the new rate plan amount minus your benefit and any applicable discounts. After the program ends, you will remain on the new rate plan and be charged the then-current rate for that plan.
